Don't worry Robert, my dear old friend, you just too old and decrepid for this brainwashing thing whereas I would be too intelligent. Now if you'll excuse me I have another session here in Saskcatchewan they're serving trifle and custard tonight.

It's OK...I'm Blonde....As long as they cold water wash it and hang to dry I should be OK! but then again I may have something in my secret pocket in my cargo pocket that can save the day...oops...another blonde moment there......
So take it easy in Moose Jaw Grant...especially in the boot legger caves or are you on the next episode of Corner Gas?

    My Dear Dirka,

Please do not write things like this as davedove has a weak heart and could keel over and die mid-story. Also such comment encourages Grant to make uncouth remarks, and Grant is trying very hard to prove himself cured and therefore no longer requiring a stay in a padded cell*.

    Cheers

All this kidnapping stuff makes me glad I'm a hermit of sorts. Much harder to kidnap a kiltie when he only leaves his home rarely and sporadically, and has a collection of swords around him.

    Seriously, great story.

Yes, the forging shop, and 'everything' being a weapon also seems to discourage this sort of thing here in my little hermitage as well.

Do continue Dave, good story !

Yes, Dave - get on with the story - before one of the more impatient forum members comes around to see why you aren't spending more time at the keyboard.

Maybe someone should look around the laboratory for a device for extracting a story -

Perhaps coercion might bring swifter results.

Hmm - should I open the safe and bring out my recipe for nut and honey ice cream? It would be a devilish thing to do, to unleash the flavoured ice cream onto anyone unprepared for the experience.

Maybe the vanilla with a touch of cinnamon served with apple crumble would be sufficient.

Oh - he has a weak heart - perhaps the lemon sorbet with cream and a dash of vintage port would be more appropriate. Or maybe just have him read the recipe for the warm chocolate mousse with extra chocolate sauce - with the serving suggestions, if his hands don't start to shake and his eyes glaze over by the 'stir gently in a warm bath adding brandy' part.

In a kitchen everything really is a weapon.

    WWAAAAA!!

    Still no further chapters.

Maybe he isn't a pudding man - it might require a different approach - there is the spiced game casserole I supose.

It might even require the ultimate - beefsteak pie with carrot and oysters.

It was included in the treaty on cruel and unnatural treatment - I didn't see why, perfectly natural - the carrots help with seeing in the dark and the oysters provide something to look at.

Just because a few of the more suscepable suffered dehydration drooling at the smell it is no reason to outlaw it - and as for putting the soused onions on the Class B list - that is just being vindictive. It said on the invitation to bring a partner. Eating the whole lot themselves was just asking for trouble.
