    I know belted plaids weren't nearly as uniform as kilts today. But I've never seen an old depiction of a belted plaid that long.

    You wouldn't piss me off by wearing it. I'm definitely not a member of the kilt police. But I do think that what's shown there is more of a skirt than a kilt.

    And now (off topic) to Zardoz,
    Why are you named after a movie I did not enjoy??? even if it did have sean connery in it...
