    http://www.house-of-tartan.scotland....se/tfinder.htp

Isn't that interesting. Both of these were mentioned earlier in this thread. The only difference in them seems to be the option to change color schemes (modern, ancient, etc.) on the top link. I assume that is the one were looking for.

The thing that I _don't_ like about this site is that the setts are computerized, rather than tartan scans. I find it can be difficult to know what a tartan will actually look like "in the flesh" from computerized setts. The other thing about this site is that there are lots of historical variations that just aren't available. Lots of good information historically-speaking, but a lot of it isn't useful/practical for someone trying to decide on the tartan for a kilt.

Thanks mate, that explains why I have been getting different results on different PCs.

Yeah, that I understand. However, maybe I was tired but I thought I found so many contradictory pictures for the different colourings ..... I forgot how much of a nightmare this was the last time!

I don't suppose anybody has any pictures of MacTavish (228) Modern or Ancient to hand??? At least this time I'm in Scotland and can get my kiltmaker on the case.

    Thanks all.
