And I don't drink , thank you. I don't need alcohol to come up with odd ideas. For this one I just used a colour wheel to pick out colours that clashed fairly well.
And please feel free to put me on the "Don'ts" thread. I won't mind
Perhaps it's better that you don't drink!!
And your quest with the colour wheel was overwhelmingly successful!!
Kilt on, bro!!

Funny, I was going to suggest a few strong drinks before you go anywhere near the closet again.

Against all possible reason, I kind of like it. At least the shirt and kilt. The tie throws me. But I'll get over myself.

Actually, my typical daily garb is one of my four kilts with one of my vast collection of aloha shirts. This particular getup is really only unique in the magnificence of the conflict of colour, and in the addition of the tie. Sometime I'll post a picture of a particularly busy and exceptionally loud shirt along with my Buchanan kilt. The remarks I get with that tend to be in the exclamatory realm.

Hey sober brother and fellow aloha shirt addict. There's another thread going on aloha shirts and kilts...I think on Kilt Advice forum.
Push the edges! Merge the cultures! FREEDOM!!!
Steve McDonald's song 'South Seas Scot' comes to mind.
And I don't wear a belt with my kilts that have them side strap thingies...much more comfortable for a fat man...don't have the buckle jamming into my underbelly. Only wear a belt with my casual kilts and utilikilts.
Great spirit of creativity...nurture it!

Couldn't get the picture deal to work on edit...so a new post.
As mentioned on the other thread on Hawaiian shirts on the kilt advice forum...maybe I can get my aloha shirts cut to a kilt jacket pattern?
