Don't get me wrong. I understand that it seems dumb to many who view the knife as a tool to have a knife that can't cut, but isn't it kinda normal for a sgian dubh to be intentionally left dull like that? It isn't meant as a tool anymore (discounting the sgian brew); it's ceremonial for many (though, I'm guessing not to you). But isn't it normal to find a dull sgian?
