    Kilt number 10 Dress MacDonald

Well I just got back from Burnett's and Struth and picked up kilt number 10. After my Uncle passed away last month I have been wanting to get tartans to honour him and what he meant to me, well thanks to Pete at Canadian Casual Kilts I was able to have a MacPherson kilt for his memorial, that left the other side of the family, I had already ordered a MacDonald of Sleat tartan from Matt Newsome, but today I went up to Burnett's and Struth in Barrie as they are having a sale on now, anyway I found a kilt in my size in the Dress MacDonald Tartan, it is a 16oz Lochcarron wool 5 yard machine stitched kilt and I think it will be perfect for Scottish Country Dancing. The staff at Burnett's and Struth are very nice and they know what they are talking about, I will most likely go up again after my next pay for more.

Here are the photos I have got of my 10th kilt, I will get photos of me wearing it as soon as someone gets home.

    Ahhh, you luck dog you!

One of my favorite tartans for obvious reasons. Once had a Lands End shirt in the dress Macdonald but that was a long time ago. My then wife and my daughter also had skirts in the tartan....now you've gone and reminded me and added another tartan to my wish list.

Thats a very smart looking kilt. The 5-yard kilt should be very practical for the Scottish Country Dancing.

Nice one, McMurdo. I've got 2 yards of that same fabric waiting my attentions...will be turned into a skirt for my darling wife.

Thanks all, Ron, you should see if Burnett's has anything for you, the Weathered Macdonald is really something, they showed me the bolt they had, all I can say about it is I think I may order the Weathered next week, it is that nice.

Grant you will see it soon, I am sure of that.

Oh, NO! I had my eye on the Burnetts N Struth Dress MacDonald on their sale page, my size and all---I have been dropping hints to my wife as to a great XMas gift. I HOPE that isn't the one from their webpage. It looks great. I was hoping to wait until Christmas, but . . . .
