Many years ago I was a Field Supervisor for a large security firm here in St. Louis and one of my accounts was the Mother House for the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondolet.
I would go by there late at night to check on the guard there and every once and a while one of the older sisters would come out and have coffee with us and before she left she would always tell us a little joke then giggle and walk off.
I still remember her to this day..
YES!! Well, they aren't part of the new congregation, BUT, our Sisters started their history in the U.S. at Carondelet! The Carondelets are our original American mothers...we all came from them and eventually spread out over the entire country. Carondelet was our first establishment upon arriving from France.
