SCD Christmas Class

Tonight was my last Scottish Country Dance class before Christmas we start classes again on Jan. 7th. The class has been invited to a few other classes in the next few weeks, and a beginners ball among other things, I thought I'd share some photos

BTW, do you wear a different type of shoe for SCD? I noticed the brogues on one of the gentlemen looked a bit different from hte usual ghillies.

Yes indeed you do the shoes you see are called dancing ghillies, they look almost like a regular pair of ghillies, except these have a ballet slipper type of a bottom and they are soft leather not normal shoe leather, much easier to dance in than a normal shoe.

I was too busy behind the camera, just so you know I was wearing my Graham of Mantieth 8 yard kilt from Hector Russell, my Graham shirt from the Scottish Tartan museum, my clan Graham buckle and black hose, I'll get pictures of the outfit one day I'm sure.
