    Jock:

My daughter is expecting a son any moment now. She is married to a Scot in Edinburgh and her husband is also insisting on Alisdare (or however he spells it.) This is causing some consternation with the daughter as they plan to move back to the States as soon as the green card caper is all straightened out. You see, my daughter has, apparently, more than a couple of friends who have daughters named Allister and she doesn't want "junior" to have "girl's name!"

Personally, in my opinion, Robert or Riobeard are top qualifiers.

I think her friends' daughters all have a boy's name!

Some one needs it explained to them that that is a man's name.
