    Matt,

Go ahead. On consideration I believe it was actually the modern. Guess I could go back and look at my order.

Well, I hope you are not too disspaointed that you ordered the ancient! In our original email correspondence you said you liked the House of Edgar muted colors the best, but didn't like the fact that they were only available in 13 oz cloth, so you chose the ancient in 16 oz cloth instead.

Thanks Matt. Got my kilt early this morning. Absolutely a fabulous kilt. It was the Ancient after all. My kilt came with ten pleats, so I guess mine is mid way within the norm. Will have to take photos and post them.

This is my first kilt so it is hard to make a comparison, but from the looks of it, it was done extremely well. I like it. I've spent the morning looking for the things I purchased to go with it. Having a hard time finding them, so photos may be sans some of the appropriate things.

I'm embarrassed to admit, initially I was a bit puzzled how to put the kilt on. Being a blue jean kind of a fellow, I'm used to pulling them up and just buttoning them closed. With the discussions I've been exposed to on this site, I was able to quickly remedy that situation though.

I'm already thinking about my next kilt - either from the tartan of the Grey/Gray Clan or the weathered Lamont from Lockcarron Mill. Then again maybe the tartan of the US Army. This might be harder to decide that I thought. One thing for sure - I'm sold on the 16 oz wool cloth.
