I was 20 minutes away, but shackled to my textbooks. I'm kinda surprised Yeti didn't borrow a car to come up. A kilt meeting should be a great excuse to come see one's lady who was unable to leave campus this weekend.

    Hofbrauhaus

What a fun time! Worst thing about it was that there were only three guys in kilts there. On the other hand, we had a blast!

Rex, it was great to meet you! A tip of the hat to your sartorial style! Mark and I were both wearing UKs--he a black worksman, I my black original. I don't have the pictures yet, but I should have them later today (my camera didn't make it to the party).

Hofbrauhaus, if you haven't visited it, is quite an experience. It's an Americanized version of a classic German Bier Hall, with live music, cute serve staff (who can carry four or more liters of ale in each hand as they work their way through the crowd), good food, and LOUD patrons.

And, yes, I got asked a variant of "the question" at least once...by a woman who made a quick grope in what would be my wallet pocket area had I been wearing trousers as she followed me toward the rest rooms.

OFCJAX, sorry you didn't make it. I thought I had mentioned this gathering in one of your threads, but apparently had not. We are talking about a St. Pat's day in Louisville, but I'm sure something will happen before then.

String, I hope your studying was productive. It would have been good to meet you and Yeti as well. I've known several folks over the years who have been students at "Nuke U," if that is where you are going.
    Lovin' the breeze 'tween m'knees!

I have never heard it called that, but that is awesome, and so very apt.
