    I dug out my tripod, its a Velbon VE-3

    Apparently they're still around. Had this one for over 20 years with no problems.

    I have a small Vanguard VS41, which is flexible and fitts in my sporran. There always seems to be something to attach to.

    If this is to be believed, they are available for 1 penny.

    There is also the Joby GP1-OBEN which is a little bigger (it won't fit in the sporran) which is also nice.
