Moved so that the traditional kilt section is kept for the heavy duty hand made or machine made versions.

If the kilt is in limited supply, I would jump on it. The pics people have put up of the weathered lamont are great.

The Weathered Lamont or variation thereof is a good looking tartan. I have seen a kilt made of this tartan, it looks great.

Sorry, really thought I had the right forum. I guess this confirms that the kilt in question is not traditional. It is still a nice looking kilt though.

    Don,

The Traditional Kilt forum is really for handsewn wool kilts.

It is not a traditionally made kilt because a traditionally made kilt is handsewn with the cutouts for the pleats for a slimmer waist. It certainly still is a traditionally styled kilt and a nice one to boot.

The SWK Weathered Lamont is an off the rack and massed produced kilt. Jerry over at SWK has never indicated once that his kilts are anything but this.

It's still a kilt, but it isn't the kind that the Tradition Kilt sub forum is about.

That is why Colin moved your thread.

No offense was intended to Jerry, SWk, or you.

    Cheers
