    SWK Lamont

I got mine from SWK about a month ago and really enjoy it. The colors are muted but nice and go with just about anything. Just like others I like the browns and greens weathered look. For the money it is a really nice kilt and worth it even if you have to pay someone to alter it for you later. I'd jump on the one in your size and hem later. The kilt is great for the outdoors (my major use for the kilt) and works indoors also. Grab one while you can. Here are some pix from another thread.

    Kilted Flyfishing

Well, Oldhiker I'm an English teacher during the school year and have my summers off. I went to school to learn about guiding last year. I combined my love of flyfishing and wanting to earn some more money during the summer. I've been a flyfisher for 20+ years and live out in Colorado near two Gold Medal rivers; the Roaring Fork and the Frying Pan. Rainbow, brown and some brookies up in the high mtn. streams. I just started wearing kilts fly fishing last summer and it was both fun and profitable. I usually wet wade during the summer months and being kilted is no different than wearing shorts, but a lot more fashionable.

I hear you. I earned my love fishing for 'Dolly Varden' in Alaska. I'm embarrassed to say, I only used red beads on a single hook. Nothing better than cleaned trout stuffed with onion and butter - cooked along side a large camp fire. Even when I went hunting, I always managed to enjoy their treat - always took my fishing gear.

    Weathered Lamont

Funny thing is guys.... I'm deathly allergic to fish. If I ingest any I go into anaphylactic shock ( my throat swells shut). I'm soo allergic to fish that if I eat anything cooked in the same pan that had fish, I get a severe reaction. I always carry and Epi-Pen with me. Sort of like bee sting reactions in some folks. But does that stop me from floating a BWO or double rigging a red Copper John to a Flashback Pheasant-tail??? HECK NO!!!

I with Don here. I have been given all the gear to go fly fishing by my Dad but haven't tried it (though numerous X Markers have encouraged me to get out there). I promise to get a license, get a lesson from the fly fishing store loocated 1 mile from my house, and try to use this fancy gear in 2008. But one thing is for certain any fishie (legally sized of course) that the fates may allow me to catch is destined to be sauted in a little herb butter and eaten!

    Cheers
