I know this is kind of an old thread, but I just watched "This is Spinal Tap" again tonight... does anyone know what tartan Nigel is wearing during the interviews? Or for that matter in the VW commercial from last year?

Oh man, I don't wanna bump this thread. But I'm going to. Does anyone know the tartan from the movie? I remember the kilt in the interview and it seemed cool, but where could you take it from there? Nowhere. But I watched that movie for the first time since wearing a kilt and man, that just took the collness factor all the way to eleven!

Guest was in Boston last week to receive an honourary degree from Berklee College of Music. He played several of his pieces from Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind, and Waiting for Guffman.

I have a friend at Berklee...I'll have to see if he was there!

One of my favorite movies, by the way, but I had forgotten about the kilt scene. Nigel rocked, but Derek Smalls was always one of my bass playing heroes!
