But if I don't feel like wearing a kilt today and do so just because you told me to, doesn't that mean I am succumbing to kilted tyranny.

No tyranny here – just a friendly challenge. Granted it’s easier for some of us.

    - - And, I feel very lucky to be able to wear the kilt. Here’s wishing you all get in a situation that will allow full time kilt wear.

...if one wishes to, of course.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I will not be kilted today, but I do plan on spending most of my Christmas break kilted, as I start a new job in January, and I'm not sure how the new admin is going to feel about the kilt at work.

Davedove and cajunscot, you guys are my new best friends.

Thanks. I try to make my statements in a light-hearted manner, but I feel that those who would have men wear kilts every day are as bad as those who would restrict the wearing of kilts.

Whether you choice is to wear kilts full-time, part-time, only for special occassions, OR NOT AT ALL, bully for you. The main thing is that it is YOUR choice, not someone else's.

Spot on! But a challenge is a challenge and not a command.
