Rob,
They are great. Bought my Armstrong, which is the kilt in my avatar, from them. Was a kilt that someone had traded in on another... I usually deal with the Tartan Thistle <http://www.tartanthistle.com>, though. A bit closer (about 35 miles driving distance, not including the ferry ride, which is another 3-5 miles). Sometimes a bit cheaper, price-wise, too. A lot cheaper than North Channel in Seattle, though. Seems like their prices have skyrocketed in the past year.

Low price Brogues
If anyone is interested, these are the lowest priced Ghillie Brogues I have found on the internet after a week of searching. They're made of leather and synthetic materials. Shipping is around $30.

"Some people know the cost of everything and the value of nothing." You can pay over a hundred bucks for a pair of Nikes...

I'd rather have Nikes than ghillie brogues. I'd rather have strappy Walmart sandals than ghillie brogues, and I would rather wear those with my kilt than ghillie brogues . Guess I don't like ghillie brogues.
* I'm just joking, but I don't like wearing wing tip style shoes. Ghillies with a rounder toe would be fine.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I'm still planning on getting a pair of converses, tearing out the tongue, adding boot laces, and voilà! Casual ghillie brogues!

Na, just leave them the way they are and you'll be fine. I want to get some moccasin boots to go with a couple of my kilts. Even those low top mocs would be nice. Guess I just ain't very formal.

Have seen resellers call D widths "wide."

I used to have the opposite problem. When I was younger I took an A width and there are manufacturers that call a C width narrow. Luckily there has been a confluence of factors - my feet have gotten wider and I've started putting inserts in the shoes for comfort.
