A good start
I am glad your mother introduced you to the tartan at a young age. My daughters show little to no interest at the moment. Maybe if I made them tartan skirts, they would have a wonderful story like yours to tell in 10 years?

Maybe so - light the Celtic pride fire! It'll give them something cool to talk about with their friends. It's always good to know where you come from. Plus, plaid (and argyle) are very trendy right now.
