Rex is totally on point with his nine questions-- to which I would humbly add a tenth: "Would you and your wife like to join my wife and me, and a bunch of us, at one of our local kilt nights?" It says three things which he will possibly consider important:

1) you are not trying to pick him up.
2) wives & girl friends approve of men wearing kilts.
3) there are other guys out "there" wearing kilts.

You might also want to refer him to our presence on the web...

Also, and I guess this is a general question: how many of us, when out and about in our kilts, carry cards with our name and phone number, along with an X MARKS THE SCOT logo and the web address? Seems to me that this could be a fairly subtle recruiting tool.

Where can we get these? I'd definately pass a few of them out.

Another thought... tell him to ask the next 3 women he sees what THEY think of the kilt. THAT could help change his mind.

Ideally redheaded women. They just seem to be programed to like kilts.
