I wear a tweed and tartan driving caps, berets, a balmoral, a glengarry, an austrailian slouch hat, and am considering a pith helmet for the very hot summer highland games.

A cowboy hat with a kilt? I am new to kilts, but that just seems weird. I have a few cowboy hats, but I don't think I would ever wear them with a kilt. I like the look of the balmoral. I would be interested to see some front view pics of a cowboy hat with a kilt- maybe I would change my mind.

I wear driving caps that are tweeds, solid colors, and I even have a quilted one. When I'm working out in the garden, some times I wear a straw hat or a large canvas hat, kind of like "cowboy" hats or something like that.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I have a modern version of a German hunters hat, very similar to a fedora in olive green that I wear alot. It is a wool felt and fairly warm so sees limited use in the summer. I also sometimes wear one of several baseball caps. Looking to get either a balmoral or glengarry in the near future.

Baseball style cap for really casual wear.

Tilly for bright sun.

Golf hat for - - - - - - golf.

Balmoral for semi-dress times.

or Glengerry for same.

and finally, for formal Aztec times, formal Aztec Full Feathers.

This is the only images I have available at the moment of anyone with a cowboy hat and wearing a kilt at the same time are...
1) Musician Kenny Dickenson (centre with Scotland's own KT Tunstall) in a black 21st Century Kilt & wearing a black cowboy hat:

2) Scottish actor Craig Ferguson at Country Music Awards wearing his Ferguson Kilt and cowboy hat:
