My First Kilted Outing

I didn't notice any "looks", but I'm sure there were some from behind my back. At one point, I thought I heard the word "kilt" from behind me. It didn't sound negative, more like just an observation, so I didn't turn around.

That's something that I've noticed a lot too, that the word "kilt" tends to float up out of all other indistinguishable cacophony. May I suggest that you turn around for the positive comments and ignore the negative ones?

Now that you have done the Grocery are you ready to do the Dayton Hamvention kilted? You will quickly find other kilties coming up to you to start a conversation whether they are currently kilted or not. This is my experience here in the city of Boston on the Buses, trolleys and subway trains. Congratulations and enjoy!

I haven't been to the Dayton Hamvention yet, but it is on my list of things to do. My wife is an amateur also, so maybe I can talk her in to doing as a vacation one year. When I go, I'll go kilted!

Hey that's great Kent...Will you be attending our Kilt Night in Houston on January 10th at the Tilted Kilt? If so, move to the thread on kilt nights for directions...Hope to see you there buddy...There should be 5 or 6 of us that are planning a seige, the more the merrier.

Chase... As much as I would love to attend the Kilt Night on the 10th, Houston is a little far from San Angelo... About 400 miles

If we ever plan a trip to Houston, I'll let you know. Thanks for the invite, however.
