I don't see any red yarn. I see a gold color and a natural color. I wouldn't use red as a waste yarn because red leaves traces when taken out.

May be monitor difference. I see a reddish color that may be gold.

I'm using the Luminous Joans computer and the yarn looks gold to me, but on my monitor it was quite reddish.
