Right. But my point was that trews have become a "Lowland" form of dress because of different regimental customs & traditions.

The answer is 6. It's just never the same 6 guys two days in a row. Next question, please? You, the man in the size 5 hat in the back of the room. It's your turn now.

There seems to be a general agreement that most Scots wear a kilt to weddings and sporting events. What kind of kilt (wool or synthetic) do most Scots wear to sporting events?

That was certainly the viewpoint at the Holyrood gift shop where the assistants wore Hunting Stewart trews. Also the Company of Archers who form Her Majesty's ceremonial guard when she is resident at Holyrood do not wear kilts.

I've heard and read about synthetic kilts. What are they? Are they contageous? Can one get vaccinated to avoid buying one? Even in error? Are these being foisted off on an unsuspecting public by highlalnd outfitters such as the unscrupulous Angus Doodlesack McSporran? O! Save us from this peril. Do tell all, and let the steeple bells ring out the warning.

Am I deceived or is the middle one of those three kilts not made of tartan? Can anyone tell what the material is? Tweed?
