					Either look is great. I still think the dress shirt is more fitted to the wedding. Save the Jacobite for post wedding dress. But then again I am a real old person.and of course

					I gotta go with Pour1Malt on this one. If you aren't wearing a tie, the plain shirt looks a bit . . .I hate to say slovenly at a somewhat dressy event; it just looks like you left work, took off the tie, and didn't much care how you looked. 
 Though I am almost always conservative, on this issue I do like the jacobite shirt, and I don't think it's particularly showy or costumy. Pour1 proves that above. If you're wearing all black, you're already making a sort of statement, so I vote for the jacobite if there's no tie.

					If you're not wearing a tie, then I would wear the jacobite, although the banded collar mentioned earlier has merit.

					I prefer the jacobite shirt, but I think both would look fine, since it sounds like more of a casual-look wedding.  Wear what you both like.
