Brown/Black Sporran with Brown and Black Accessories
Hi All,
There has been some discussion on the two two tone Freelander Sporrans. One reason I bought mine was that I believed that a brown/black sporran would work equally well with brown or black shoes and belt. I wear my Freelander on a black sporran belt. The black belt matches the black of the sporran and the black leather straps on traditional kilts. I always match the belt and shoes. I consulted Hamish before ordering. He told me honestly he wasn't a fan of two tone sporrans. (I really do appreciate your advice Ham, thanks for taking to the time to get back to me). But the question was what did I think. So I went ahead and ordered the chocolate brown and black model. I have been very pleased with the results. But now I put it to the rabble to see what your opinion is.
Here's a picture with brown accessories:
And here is one with black (this is from my original Freelander review as the picture I was going to use was too dark to see the colors properly, but it will give you the idea.):
Have at lads and lassies.
Cheers

Kilted KT,
I took KiltedCodeWarrior's advice and got the same one he did from E Bay seller Dangerous Thread. Here's the link:

I was very pleased with mine.

works for me, I have a 2 tone freelander too, green and brown, opens up a whole new world of matching stuff. the only thing I think does not match is the bag on your side.

That's the pouch I use for my camera. It's too big and heavy to wear in a sporran comfortably (it's an antique and uses this strange black tape called "film" to record images).

Panache and all,
I think it looks good in both cases! I'd like to see the picture with brown accessories on a tartan kilt, though, to make a more informed opinion. I was hoping to wear the one I'm ordering from David (a black and tan) with brown accessories over an Irish American tartan kilt.

Thanks, Panache! I was already sold on getting one before, but now I'm feeling even more confident in my decision.
I dig the kilt pin, too.
