Belly bonnets that match my kilts

I've owed this one to Dread for a looooong time. got this baby in July, IIRC. He special-made it to match my Gordon Modern and I haven't got around to taking pix til now. I asked him to make the crown a bit larger in diameter - He made a regular one for my daughter, and I actually decided I like that proportion better - too bad! Although not shown here the headband has a drawstring threaded in and out to adjust to any head. It's a really nice match for the kilt, don't you think?

This next one spoke to me. I just got my Campbell Ancient and thought it would be a perfect match - I was right! Looks great, fits great and it's nice and warm. Hand-crocheted from merino wool.

Dreadbelly recently made one for McFarkus in a color called tree bark (I think). It's like a medium brownish olive that I think will go very nicely with my Isle of Skye or SWK half-Lamont.

Turpin, Dread, those are great! I love the coordination--it adds style without being fussy. Good job!

It's more olive than brown, though it does have some brown undertones.

Hmmm, that's interesting... I see the "half-Lamont" term is catching on, te he. Oh dear, what have I started now... Anyway, congratulations on finding a good look.

I was fortunate to see McMurdo's Dreadbelly® tam in (gasp) Jacobite Blue. Surprising to me it looked real good and a nice feel about it.
