They are part of the gold brothers group and they have a bad rep.
Some of it is very deserved, some of it is not.
I have 1 kilt from Heritage of Scotland that I really like. It was well made and is great for out and about.
It's not a tank by any means, but I never expected it to be.

If you are in the U.S I'd advise you just save and get yourself a standard kilt from stillwaterkilts.com
Jeryy sends them out fast and his prices are reasonable.

Or you can go with Kiltmart, which is in Phoenix, AZ, or you can take a chance on a kilt from FC. Of course, none of these are wool, unless you go with a heavyweight from Stillwater.
