I own a couple of these in black, bought from a different vendor. They do work well for a casual day sporran. I am kilted full time but work from home so it makes a nice stash for my cell phone, pencil, wallet, etc. You can either adjust the shoulder strap and use it as is, or mine hangs better if I detach the strap, run it through the belt loops sewn onto the back, and clip the ends together. Or just use a regular sporran strap.
One thing I am aware of is it is inexpensive cotton canvas and I have not tested it for colorfastness--you might check before a rainy day in case it runs at all.
