Does anybody make a canvas sporran that you can buy separately? I've only ever seen them with a few of the plain kilts you could buy.

I could see how they'd be nice if you owned plain kilts.

I have started making a canvas sporan while out at sea. I am going for a nautical look and would probably only wear it while out to sea or at nautical event. I don't think I would wear it anywhere else, but who know maybe when it is finished it might just look pretty good and I will wear it all the time.

I only have one on the AmeriKilt and would now NEVER wear it with anything else. In fact, I rarely wear it with the AmeriKilt. Too small. Too light.

Made other versions once upon a time, and they were just not near what is needed with a sporran. It's too easy to get spoiled with leather, size and style!

I think I would wear one if it was built more like a traditional Sporran. and was Nice and weighty Maybe lined like a Carhart (the kind with the "horse hair" liner)

Or there are these from Kiltstore
    http://kiltstore.net/browse.html?cat...andwear&view=1

It would be even easier to sew Canvas type sporrans I would try to stiffen the lid a little and at the back and front.I do feel that the design of many modern sporrans is just a wallet on a chain, Great if you like that sort of thing ( I don't)I'd like to see a more trad shape

I'm already thinking it could be fun to mix leather and say Camo.or somthing similar.

It would also be a good start to start with Canvas if you didn't want to try sewing leather first. As any mistakes would be cheaper

    Just some thoughts.....
