    WPG Gordon Highlanders Kilt

Last night I went down to the post office and picked up a package that they had for me. It was my Gordon Highlanders 22oz kilt from What Price Glory and two pair of hose. The package was supposed to be here on Wednesday of last week when it had not arrived I emailed Jerry at WPG and he was able to track it down and help me find my package, Jerry is great to work with. All I can say is these kilts are incredibly heavy and warm, and so far it has been a joy to wear it in our weather I can see wearing this kilt often this winter, I decided to put a simple military style kilt pin on this kilt as it is a military style kilt. The all wool hose are very nice as well. Here are the photos.

If you need a heavy kilt for the winter this is the one for you it's almost like an oven in this thing.

    Looks good Glen!

It strikes me that a wooly pully would be a pefect match for one of those WPG monsters. They would suggest the right military look and keep your top half as warm as your lower half.

    Cheers

Very nice photos! I've been wondering if one of their kilts might not be practical for winter wear here.

Though with the increasingly mild winters we're getting, climate change might make it unadvisable.

But they are handsome garments. Btw, everybody who has a WPG kilt seems to have red flashes. Do they come with the kilt?

    Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Veeeerrry nice. Gordon pleated to the stripe is just fantastic. I'd love one but the absolute heaviness of that heavy-weight material would be a little too much. Very good for heavy weather but how is it when you go indoors?

    McMurdo,

Is that a military box pleat or a knife pleat? I know that WPG has some of both.

Looks great! I am jealous! As soon as I finish paying for my most recent kilt purchases, one of those is on my list (for next winter)!

Just curious, but what length did you end up getting? I started to really pay attention to these WPG kilts when I read that some 23" lengths were available. I'm long of torso, short of leg, so anything shorter than a 24" would help me to avoid kilt-rash under the armpits.
