Belt or no belt?

Buzz Kidder makes a heavy casual belt that works great: This is probably the belt I wear most often when dressing casually.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy! Belts . . . first you need to get used to the idea that a properly fitting kilt does not need a belt to stay up. It is quite a surprise the first time you strap on a good kilt. Then, it is up to you whether to wear belt or not, as the belt is not functional, but for looks. Personally, no belt with a sweater or waistcoat. Belt with just a shirt or t-shirt.

How wide is the Buzz Kidder belt?

It's the same width as a standard kilt belt, about 2 1/4". It's also a bit heavier, sort of like a work belt.
