I myself grew up with Navajo kids in Dallas, TX and the Scots/Navajo connection is pretty strong. I'll bet that it would not offend (that tribe) if I had some Navajo regailia. It would be about the same as clan tartans, just show some respect. So long as I did not claim to be a "insert tribe name." Lotsa fake "Native Americans" out there.
