If you like them even half as much as I like my boar sporran I am well pleased. I hope you will show off the sheath you had in mind for the blade when you complete it.

The sgian don't is made from the same piece of antler as the sgian dubh. It was a very bleached and weathered piece. I just polished it up for the bottle opener. The wood for the bolster and cap is Austrailian lacewood finished in Tung oil.
For the knife handle I used a bit of Sedona Red 222 Minwax wood stain. The old antler seem to take it up quite well. After letting it dry for several days I then very lightly and carefully sanded and buffed the little projections to wear off the stain at the tips of the little points to give a feeling of the antler being worn a bit.
Both items were finished up with a polish of carnuba wax.
