Nice looking kilt Glen. You'll have to wear it to one of our winter SOKS nights (October through, oh ... April) so we can have a look at it in person.

Very nice looking kilt. It looks good on you. I'll be wearing my MacKenzie dubbed "The Beast" by me this weekend when my wife and I will act as trail guides for the Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers snowshoe/X-country ski Town to Town Tour. They are warm and toasty aren't they?

I seem to remember either somewhere on one of the XMTS threads or on the Cameron-Seaforth Highlanders web page that the proper hose and flashes to wear (military style) were khaki hose and red flashes. Like McMurdo, I also got the garter ties from Scottish Tartan Museum. That being said, the khaki hose and red garter ties were on top in my sock drawer and they just happened to show up in the pix. I think they look better with McMurdo's Gordon than the MacKenzie.

Welcome to Clan Gordon, Glen. I've been so tempted by those WPG beasts but I already have 2 kilts in the Gordon Modern. I may just cut 5 yards of my roll of 18-oz Gordon and make a great kilt, though. Nothing lost there as I can always turn it into a philabeg.

This is 12 I've got one coming from Woodsheal and two others on order. However as Panache pointed out earlier it's not about catching Hamish, it's about having more than Grant.

McM;
I bought a 22 oz Black Watch kilt indirectly through WPG. A friend actually bought it, but immediately sold it to me when it came in (because of financial troubles). Luckily, we are close in size. I'm most pleased with mine, too, and I wear it quite a bit.
