from Boston, Massachusetts.
Once you are in the kilt, it will be real hard to wear trousers. Buy one kilt, buy another kilt.......closet full of kilts, one or two pairs of pants relegated to the back of the closet for that once or twice a year that you might wear them. I can feel the kilt addiction happening from this side of the pond...
The Imperial and Metric thing... U.S. uses both. Officially we are supposed to be on the Metric system, but very few have implemented it. So we use both and spend a lot of time doing the conversion thang.
We buy our beverages by the litre, and our petrol by the gallon. Clothing sold here is on an inch based system of sizes that really don't use the real inches they claim. Everything in medicine is Metric except the patient, who is measured in Imperial. My height is 6'1" (186 cm.) My weight is 14 stone, 195 lbs, or 88.5 kg.
WELCOME to the rabble. Steve
