Native American Inspired Kilt Accessories
Kenpo Bob asked me to start this thread. Why not?
Scots and Native Peoples in Canada and the U.S. have often gotten along well and even intermarried.
What accessories of Native American origin do you wear/use with your kilts?
Here's a few I can think of
A deerskin Shoshone pouch worn as a sporran. Found in a gift shop on the Kaibab - Paiute reservation Pipe Springs, Arizona. Shown here with my Utilikilt Basil Survival II because that's what I was wearing when I bought it. I also have another Native made leather pouch in dark brown that I don't think I have a pic of yet. Have worn both as sporrans. They seem to "work" out here in the West.
Two 1 1/2" diameter silver Hopi pins used as kilt pins. A gift from my lady.
A Navajo knife, the same size as a sgian dubh and used like one. Purchased at the Trading Post here in town.
I often wear Pendleton vests in Native patterns with my solid color kilts.
And, I wear Native patterned Pendleton Jackets with kilts.
And I wear Tribal themed hoodies with my kilts.
I also sometimes wear Native themed t-shirts with my kilts, like "Why Worry? Be Hopi."
So may be missing some things, but think that's a good start. How about you other rabble out there. Have you found Native items/accessories that work well with your kilt collection?

I've got to be honest. I mean absolutely no disrespect to ANYONE. But, Native American "stuff" just doesn't appeal to me at all. Probably because I've no Native ties... Good on ya though Ron.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Thanks Ron
The Southwest tribes of Hopi, Zuni and Navajo have great jewelry skills, as seen in Riverkilts photo's...Thanks for showing.

I have a few Wampanoag T-shirts that I wear with the self colour kilts. The black denim kilt sports a piece of Wampanoag cut stone artwork as a kilt pin.

I've posted this before, too. It's a Kwagiulth Sun done by a local native artist, and I now wear it on my B.C. tartan kilt.
