Inverness Cape Patterns

Howdy rabble,

Here's what it looks like in wool. Despite the random and goofy internal algorithm that my new camera uses to process dark colors, This wool cape really is that shiny.



I'm wearing an entire herd's worth of antler tips....good thing, it serves as a warning to their living relatives to stay away from our garden next year.

Kevin, thanks for posting the pic, that cape looks great in wool. Is it lined?

Howdy,

The cape is lined with heavy polyester taffeta- so it's nearly impervious to the wind, and it slides on very easily. Originally I had a hood on it, but I removed it just before the Burns Dinner in favor of a high and wide collar.

I'm already off on another one thats made from a heavier coating wool. This one is crafted from a stout suiting wool that has a marvelous sheen to it. It was mild last weekend, but I think heavier wool might do a better job up here.
