ChromeScholar,
I intend to be at all the aforementioned games. Perhaps I'll see you in Phx. next month!!
I'll not be competing in that one, but I'll certainly be there!

I'll be there on the 23rd, as will several others from here. We will be meeting at the pub tent after the opening ceremony.

Welcome from Hawaii. Wear your kilt to bed, she will ask you to wear it after that and never complain

Welcome from over here in the outskirts of Mesa, neighbor. I don't have a wife or even a girlfriend, so I don't know anything about your question. Good luck.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Welcome to the clan....from Ohio here. About the wife...why not get her a mini kilt in the same tartan and you can wear them together. That may help point her in the right direction. int:

First, welcome from Fairbanks, Alaska! Second, give her time with the kilt. She will come around. My wife has grown indifferent, and doesn't even give it a second thought. Hope it all works out for you!

Welcome and enjoy the new kilt! As far as your wife accepting the kilt, tell her this is your mid-life crisis and this is the worsted it will get.
