Ya, it just seems to work that way.
It's fine if someone else wants to wear it low, but I like the way it divides the body in a higher place... I'll have to think about why that is.
One problem I have is that I am 36" with a 37" at the widest on my bum, so pants just fall off me un less I wear them above my pelvis bones and a little tight or a tight belt. I wear my kilts a tiny bit snug, but not uncomfortably, and right under my ribs. In other words, I squeeze a little bit of a waist. The kilts just seem to stay on a lot better, especially when I'm gardening. It's very agrovating to have to pull up your pants all the time while you're working.
