Grant, thanks for the post. As I have mentioned before, I do research on the "Bay Co" (Fur Trade era ) & my "persona" is a HBC trader. Those trade coins were good & the right $$$

You're most welcome. I do hope that they are genuine.

James MacMillian needs a nice beaver sporran. As a fur trader re-enactor you might want to trade a beaver pelt for his new HBC kilt .

James me Lad, Being a Scot & a HBC Fur Trader, lets up the ante. How about 2 Lg. PRIME Beaver pelts, 1 PRIME Fox pelt & I will throw in a PRIME deer hide. NOTE - this will be enough to trade for a good rifle, powder & Ball, & then you don't have to hide.

That is a "modern" version of a CAPOTE. There are dif. styles. (incl. a shorter version) NOTE - suggest the grey HBC blanket to match the HBC taran.
Here is mine made from a "4pt HBC Blanket"

as to "beaver sporrans" here are 2 I made
The right hand one has a "modern HBC pin "dropped"on it.( 1 1/2" dia.)
The left hand one has a Red Fox Tail added.

If you wish more info on were to get items like this, or how to make them, contact me.

BTW - I am saving up to get a "HBC tartan Kilt"
