I vote for the Black Watch, black tie, black hose combo...and, the waistcoat.
Report back on the reaction. I think you could have trouble getting in with a kilt.

So, it has been decided. As I was trying things on, I discovered that the high waisted Black Watch with the waistcoat and jacket will be WAY too warm no matter what the weather is like tomorrow, so I will be wearing the Campbell of Argyll with matching tie, and black hose, since my off white ones seem to have gone missing.
We'll be sure to take plenty of pics tomorrow.

Well the rules do say "ethnic" is okay

Yes, but if there are fashion police at the door, such may need a ruling from a higher authority. Maybe. It's happened before.

The "rules" basically said coat and tie. Not once did they mention troosers
