We Australians refer to Australia as "Oz". I'm an "Oz" man, born in 1944- hence, "Ozman1944"

My name is from the first letter of my first and last names. And the avatar - the Clan MacRae badge to honor my mother's side of the family.

Way back when you had to know Unix to get around the internet, I took my name (Mark Hall) and reversed it for "Hallmark". It wasn't too many years before everybody and their dog had an internet account and hallmark became widely used by many. Since I reside in Texas, I simply attached "Tex" to the end.
I am, unfortunately, avatar ignorant. The creation of a unique avatar is a project I have yet to master.

My friends all had nicknames or screen names and I had used my first name, but wanted something more. I like wizards and dragons, but couldn't come up with a name that I liked. And we already have a Wizard of BC, so I wanted something related. I searched around and decided on Sorcerer Dale.
DALE.

My name is the name of a character in a book I really like - Der Schimmelreiter, by Theodor Storm. Sometimes I'm a great deal like Hauke Haien.
My avatar is me, piping for a Relay for Life event in 2005.

I did the club dj thing in my youth. one of my first gigs i showed up in a vintage Sigue Sigue Sputnik t-shirt (SSS was an 80's band that fused electro w/ glam rock) and people started calling me "sputnik".
Now that i'm older, (but play a young guy on TV ) i use the name for all the forums i prowl on the net.

Well, my first name is Kevin, and whilst doing some research way back when trying to find out some stuff about my patron saint (St. Kevin of Glendalough), I found that the name "Kevin" comes from the Gaelic "Caoimhín," which in turn came from the older "Coemgen," which is what St. Kevin's name would have been while he was alive.
So, I began using it as my screen name in forums, etc. on the internet (it is very rarely already taken).
My avatar is from a beautiful icon of Saint Kevin I saw first in a book on his life, and later found a copy on the internet (located here).
