I downloaded both and test printed the Scottish Clans and Their Tartans with great success. I am sure I will not continue with the printing unless I need a specific pair of pages because I cannot afford the printer cartridges!

As for the books themselves, they are great! The Clans book gives a brief yet concise look at 98 of the most notable clans in Scotland’s history. It also contains a good introduction, native dyes, clan badges, and war cries. While I didn’t learn anything truly new about Clan Maclachlan, I was able to find out a few new things about Robert the Bruce, the Campbell’s and Black Watch, Rob Roy, etc. It should prove to be a great addition to my e-library.

The second book, McIan's Highlanders At Home gives a great look at what life was like when other nations left them alone. It spells out in good detail of everyday life of the tribes/clans to include games and pastimes and the whiskey still and domestic employments. There are some great illustrations in this book as well.

Perhaps after a bit more time with these books I will be able to give a better report.

Thanks for the links and Happy Friday to you as well!
