Yep, that's a good hose. If I remember correctly, it has brass ends with... turnability to them, so you don't have to turn the whole hose to tighten the male end into a stationary female hose bib or something like that. Yep good hose there, and the sun doesn't dammage it much either.
Just a bit too small to get your leg down in that hose. Na, I can talk either kind of hose. I want to get some brown Lewis hose to go with my Weathered Half Lamont.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

The Lewis hose from the Scottish Tartan Museum are GREAT.
I have several pair and love them. I want MORE!
Don't think I'd use them in the garden, though. They are wool and need to be handwashed.
