    SB,

I have gotten my children Sportkilts and feel that they are a good deal for the money. Another option is USA kilts, Rocky and crew can make children's sizes and the PV is a great material option for active children. I am really impressed with the Mcleod one I bought my son.

Over at Stillwater has a new line of children's kilts and accessories that I haven't had a chance to try yet, but as my little insist on growing like weeds I'm sure I will be placing an order with Jerry before to much longer.

This is just me but I would definately go with a sgian don't for a child. A really fun option my son enjoys is a Pez dispenser. I filed and sanded the base so it wouldn't dig into his leg and it works fine. A Batman sgian dubh that holds candy, what could be better for a second grader?

    Cheers

    Jamie

    Thanks Jamie!
The Sgian Replica website was cool, I wish I could find it now. It had great handles to "show" from hose yet the blade, if you call it that, is squared off and blunt.

Will you be bringing your son to our meet next week?

Oops, forgot that this one will be a bar crawl, not suitable for Batman-pez wearers.

But will you coming to the city for the Tartan Week Parade? That might be a good chance to expose him to his heritage.

My 5 year old son and my wife will be meeting up with us along the way of the pub crawl. I have never had a problem with children in the pub. I dont want my son growing up thinking that drinking is a big mystery. Iv had way to many of my childhood friends die to young. All because when they were finally exposed to drink they went out and thought it was just too cool to go out and get smashed for not knowing any better.
