Question Kilt in 20/20 ep. Royal Family

    Hi rabble!

Did anyone catch the tartan that was shown on the 20/20 Royal Family special? It was right as Virginia Tech was mentioned there was a segment of the Queen walking down the hall with an officer (?) in a Kilt, green hose, guillies, and I do belive an officers jacket.

Yes, just saw it. Also it showed the piper who plays every morning at 9 AM outside whatever residence HM is staying at, as well as a short short of some of the Scots Guards Pipe Band playing.

I enjoyed the whole programme on the Royal Family. It was well done and had many appearances of kilted men. Unfortunately none of Prince William or Prince Harry. (Prince William claims to not like being kilted.) Many kilts showing at various affairs of state at Buckingham Palace. Saw kilted men at events outside Balmoral Castle. A great two hour show.

Would love to have seen it!

I don't think Harry is enamoured of kilt wearing either alas.

McClef - it is the same footage that was shown on the BBC. ABC just bought the rights to show three hours of it (although the special was only two hours long).

It was an excellent program although I didn't identify any of the tartans. Enjoyed it very much.

Yes, it has been shown in Britain some time ago. There was a brouhaha in the press arising out of how commercials for it had been edited to imply falsely that HM was so angry at Annie Liebovitz's manner of photographing her that she (HM) left the shooting in a huff. Heads rolled, apologizes were made, personnel fired.

Well I tend to watch anything produced by the BBC on royal themes!

Usually they show them in hour long segments so ABC probably knocked some of them together.

And yes I have seen the episode which included the Annie Liebovitz affair!

They used the same commercial here implying the huff with Annie Liebovitz. And to be fair, the Queen wasn't particularly thrilled with Annie's suggestion that she remove her crown, but she didn't leave in a huff.
