I miss Samurai Jack. The only person he couldn't defeat was the Scotsman, who became one of his closest friends.
Makes ya realize that app. 95% of what's on TV is oop:. In fact, I'd say that most of "pop culture" these days is in the same category.
Hmm…
Have you noticed that it's mostly the oldies (comparatively speaking) that are popular among the youth these days, though? I mean, music from the 60's and 70's and 80's (Beatles, The Who, the Stones, They Might Be Giants), D&D, and shows like Monty Python and Are You Being Served are having a huge comeback, at least from what I've been able to tell.

"Pop" is just "poop" missing an "o". Kinda like rap missing the k.

I'd rather gripe. No one listens either way.

They're popular, but definitely not the most popular. New will always be "in".

As my dad, a veritable cesspool of wit and wisdom (his own words), says, "Pop culture is popular because half of the population is below the median IQ."

I have a very good friend who used to have an IQ over 150. He got into a car wreck- rear ended- and hit his head on the back window of this truck. He suffered brain damage. The doctors testing him told him that he seemed like a completely normal person and were amazed at his level of funtionality even with the brain damage. He is now a person with an average IQ. He has made the observation that if he's now average, it's horrifying to him that there are people less intelligent than he is even with brain damage, because he feels dumb and mentally sluggish being average. I think your dad is brilliant. That makes me think of my grandfather. One of his favorites was "You can lead a jackass to knowledge but you can't make him think."
