    This is why I wanted a "real tie-on jabot ", without velcro and yet really super-easy to tie.

    From TartanWeb, I have an old fashioned, white cravat, which has to be wrapped around my neck and tied in front, that I wear with period clothing (blue bonnet, great kilt, Fugawee buckled shoes, short coat and waistcoat). TartanWeb doesn't carry it anymore, I don't believe. I admit, I like to wear it. I think I will stick with my cravat, if I ever get a doublet, but that's down the road a piece.
