My initial thought was for a dirk sheath. I do like the idea of using cut out shapes to accent a belt though. Perhaps combine a couple of ideas, cover the leather part of a sporran chain belt and accents on a belt.

You might also consider making it an accent piece of a larger item. For example, dress up a plain belt by cutting lozenge shaped pieces from the snake skin and sewing them to the belt. Since you could use the skin more sparingly it would go all the way around. Diamond shapes would also help utilize the skin more efficiently and would look great as an accent on a brown or tan belt.
    I like that one.

Lift off and nuke the site from orbit; the idea of sharing a planet with a snake freaks me out.

Cool! –or—get rattles from them and make them the “tassels” on a semi dress / dress sporran… and then sell the resulting sporran for $800 and get another fancy, fancy tank!

My advice: keep that skin and look out for more. Then, when you have enough, make yourself a kilt!!

    Take care,

I second the idea of covering a belt buckle.

James, I think we now know who the head of Slytherin House is

That's a beautiful kilt Hamish, I'm blown away!
And I have to ask, how many skins did that take?
