Ya know... Being a gentleman of larger stature, it makes me feel good to be whistled at- especially when it's women doing the whistling!

Me too, but sadly these whistles didn't sound feminime to me so I ignored them. Had they sounded feminine I'd have turned around and smiled and seen what might develop.

I turn around and smile anyway. And occasionally show a little leg...

You know, I get more "Are you Irish?" than I do "Are you Scottish?"

    Very weird, actually.

Someday a woman is gonna wolf-whistle at me in a kilt. *sigh*

As it is, I just have polite conversations. Must be my genteel demeanor.

ANY-way, back to Saint Patricks Day, cursing women that you don't know, and geographic confusion.

I was asked if I was in a parade, and I was wearing the nightstalker tartan.

Yeah, I got asked that, too. Of course, I actually was... so for once, the answer was yes.

The lady at the Post Office commented that I was "All Irished up for the day." I just laughed and told her I'd see her soon...

Boston is a very Irish city. Many in Ireland think of Boston and New York City as the next parish West. There are for that reason, and the number of Irish pipe bands, Celtic punk bands, and Irish pride things that go on here, an expectation that a kiltie is Irish. Most of the Irish performers at the local pubs tend to wear plaid shirts as part of their kit. So the tartan kilt or the solid green colour kilt is viewed here as Irish. Most of the people think the Saffron is Oriental ??? go figure.
